Nowadays, the attention rising topic in education is about gamification. The element of game mechanics, such as points, badges, levels, challenges and leader boards are used to drive desired behaviours. Leader board is one of the popular gamification mechanic chosen by many researchers. Leader board is used to display the learner’s ranks for comparison and compete with others. In this research we proposed an innovative design of leader board mechanic system called Gamification Leader Board Based on Player types which it aims to understand the user’s engagement (cognitive and behaviour). There are 9 types of badges and 3 types of Leader Board applied in this system. This apps helps the students to manage their learning activities and view their performance. The student also be able to know their player types based on their engagement in the system. There are 3 categories of player types applied in this leader board system (Achiever, Socializer and Player).
